Midi tester

Description
With this device it's  possible to check if  there's a midi
signal  and it's  polarity. The green  LED  will light when
there's a signal with the right polarity.  The red LED will
light when there's a signal with the wrong polarity.

The circuit
The resistor value is lower than usual in a midi interface,
this is due to the higher  forward  voltage of  LED's which
emit visible light.

Housing
The circuit  can  be  mounted  directly into a standard DIN
housing.  Optionally  a  second  FEMALE  DIN  plug  can  be
connected in parallel  with the MALE  DIN plug. In this way
the circuit can be  connected to  either a MALE of a FEMALE
plug.
