Hardware Web (R) FAQ
Welcome to the FAQ.
Q:
Why a FAQ?
A:
I get about the same questions in my mailbox since I started this site. With this FAQ I'll try to
answer the most common questions
Q:
I've send you an email, but I get an email saying 'Your message is rejected'. Is your account blocked?
A:
Nope. As the message says: you're probably sending email from a domain from which spam is being send. Bad luck.
Try to convince your provider to pay me $500 to remove the domain from my filter, otherwise, no email from your
provider will ever reach me. Click here to see which domains are rejected.
Q:
What does 220E stand for?
A:
A resistor with a value indication of 220E has a resistance of 220 Ohms.
E is standard European unit for electronics. Example, E size PCB = 10 x 16 centimeters (aprox. 4" x 6.3")
Q:
Where can I find a diagram of.... so I can make.... myself?
A:
Look in the Midi hardware section. There is enough info there to cook something up yourself. I 'm willing
to give some ideas c.q. tips, but I'm not going to give too much away. ("I get PAID to do the wild thing" Tone Loc)
Q:
The diagrams don't show on my screen.
A:
This is a problem between PSP3, transparancy and Netscape. I haven't had the time yet to install PSP4. (PSP5 will probably be ready by now.)
Some reloading or viewing the picture (right mousebutton) may help. Saving the GIF picture and viewing it with your favorite
graphics tool will work also.
Q:
Do you have a source of...
A:
No, all information I have on the projects in the Midi hardware section is online. Information on programming
midi can be found on Midiweb
Q:
There aren't that much links in de Music & Midi links, worse, some have nothing to do with music...
DID YOU HIRE AN IDIOT TO PUT THOSE LISTS TOGETHER?
A:
No, not exactly. I'm using a database program to put the lists together (Intel is the one to blame :P)).
The database from which the Music & Midi links lists are build also contain Electronic Engineering related sites. I haven't
set the exact parameters for each list yet, so some errors may occur. Let's say the Music & Midi links is still in
alpha stage. I hope to add more links in the near future.
